Oncue’s New Call Center

A letter to customers from Oncue’s Founder and CEO, Kate DeWald:

Dear Customers,

I am pleased to announce that our new call center facility is open for business in Phoenix! This has been a dream of ours for quite some time and we’re thrilled that it is now a reality! Let me take you through the story as to how we got here, where we’re going, and what this means for you, our customers —

Several months ago we started planning a second hub for our b2c sales agents. The need for this as we scale was key. We saw firsthand how a large team of reps working side by side could drive massive sales results for you and wanted to replicate that in another area.

We started by identifying locations across the US for our new call center, with our top 3 criteria being:

1. Sales talent available
2. Cost of living to salary ratio
3. Proximity to corporate office

Using these criteria, we narrowed the possible locations down to Salt Lake City or Phoenix. Next, we began working with a top tier recruiter to find a leader in one of these areas. We decided that it was critical to have a leader with call center domain experience so we could then build a team around that person. Ideally, we’d find someone with a following who would bring over people that worked with them in the past.

We found Ron Evans, our new Sales Director. Ron is a sales call center expert, with over 15 years of experience running leading sales call centers. Ron has managed and grown teams from 6 to 600 and has been responsible for scaling world-class inside sales

teams to several million dollars in revenue. He is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction on every single call and his experience is what will allow Oncue to transform into a world class sales leader. Ron blew us away during our gauntlet of interviews and stood out in a crowded and competitive field of candidates. The decision was unanimous.

Our new office opens today with a team of new hires and our top sales rep, Cheli, is in Phoenix helping with their training. We expect that this office will surpass even our corporate HQ by this time next year.

This office could not have happened without you. It is incredibly humbling and an honor for you to put your trust in us as we seek to build a solution that helps you make more money and gives you your Saturdays back. I am so excited to be on this journey with you as we all grow together.
